Just an update on Toby. He is doing great and has fit in with my Golden and Lab. I think my Golden and him are the same age. He loves it here and you can see he has grown a wonderful coat for our cold winters here in Calgary Alberta. We love him and he is very happy. He is such a joyous little guy.
Hi Joy,
Here’s Bella (formerly Reese) with her “big brother” Tanner. We just can’t get over how sweet and well-behaved she is! We had all of our extended family over for Christmas, and everybody just loved her. We’ll send more pics once she has filled out a little. 🙂
Thanks again!
Sara
P.S. What a small world?I was at my friend Dara’s house yesterday, and I found out that her new dog is also a rescue dog from GARD!!
Hi Joy,
Just wanted to show you some pictures of Tess and Emma. When I get more pictures of Tess (when she’s older I’ll send them to you).

Hi Joy,
Happy Holidays to you and your family!! I hope your holidays were filled with joy and happiness.
As you can see by the pictures Murphy is doing very well. He has been part of our family for almost 2 months now and we love him so much. He loves everybody and is so sweet. Remember how skinny he was? Well his first trip to the vet he weighed in at 23 lbs and he is now 31!!! He looks wonderful !! He loves to eat and has filled out so nicely. He loves to play and has so many toys but his favorites are the ones that squeek!! He also will steel your slippers if you don’t have them on! He loves to go in the car and for walks. Walks are a bit tough right now with this winter weather in NY. He didn’t really like the snow in the beginning but he really didn’t have a chose. That white stuff is here for a few more months. I sent you a few recent pictures. As you can see Murphy loves sleeping with my youngest son, Kyle!! They didn’t even know I took the picture. He is still a “scardy cat”and is afraid of a lot of things but we are working on that with him. I hope you have a Happy and Healthy New Year. Thank you for saving such a sweet dog!
Chris, Murphy and the entire Snyder Family
I’m a sweet Georgia Girl, I wished upon a star and found out that dreams do come true. I am told that my original owners, from Georgia could not afford me so surrendered me to a place that destroys dogs that they cannot find homes for. Lucky for me a nice lady from GARD, a rescue foundation in Georgia that has a no kill policy rescued me before I met a terrible demise. I was sent to Canada to a rescue foundation that helps out because there is so much poverty where I come from that people aren’t able to adopt homeless animals such as myself. I was adopted by some people that didn’t understand me and weren’t able to give me time to adjust into my new home when I displayed behavior that they weren’t willing to work with. I once again found myself in a Shelter waiting for my forever home.
Like I mentioned at the beginning of my story dreams to come true. There are no more broken promises in my life. I now live in a home that has more than enough love to go around. I live with two other canine companions, two cats that refuse to run from me, a bunny and two guinea pigs that give me what for if I get my nose to close. I am still wary of men but am getting more confidence almost daily. I listen really well to my people and have good recall. My mom says I play nice with the other dogs at the dog park. In the spring my boy,(the one who saved his money and rescued me), says he is taking me to agility…not sure what that is but it sounds like fun I can hardly wait.
Thank you to all the angels that worked so hard to see that I found my forever home. There is a special place in heaven for all of you.
Love,
Your Little Duck Tooler
