Hi There.
Just wanted to let you know that Nuggette, the puppy we adopted last June is still doing awesome. She has the sweetest personality and is such a snuggler. She seems to have topped off at 26 pounds, and since Cyrus is @ 70 lbs, to us she is a tiny little thing. lol, my sister in law has a chihuahua mix and another little dog, so they laugh every time we talk about how tiny Nuggette is – so I guess it is a matter of perspective.
I can’t believe that we are coming up on one year since we got her. I think that our official adoption date was June 20, 2013. We could not be happier to have her in our family, and look forward to many more happy years with her. Thank you for everything you do for the kind souls who can’t speak for themselves.
We will be bringing up some more bags of dog and puppy chow as soon as we have a free moment. Is there anything specific that you are in need of in addition to food? I am saving up blankets and once I get another stockpile of them I will bring those too, but let me know specifically what y’all need so that I can get something useful.
Thank you,
Tammy Pollock

Hi Mickie,
I just wanted to update you on Brian. He is doing great. We can’t love him more. He is the sweetest boy and so happy. His tail never stops wagging. Attached is a video of his graduation day from training school where he was a star. Then we took him out for a celebration to a local restaurant here that has “Yappy Hour”. Where you can bring your dogs and have a beer and a bite to eat while your dogs enjoy play time. He had a great day.
I can thank you enough for getting our little boy to us. He makes us so happy.
Thanks again,
Maureen and Kevin

Hi Joy!
Just wanted to let you know that both kids are doing extremely well. Both have SO much personality and are so much fun everyday. Just read previous posts from Cocopuff about Munch – had no idea what that precious boy had been through and how much your husband did for him. No wonder he was so sad for him to go. Please let him know how happy we are to have this precious boy and how grateful we are for all he did to save him. He and Prissy enrich our lives every day and we feel blessed to be their humans. We continue to collect supplies for you – hope to have a decent load soon. Will be in touch. You remain in our thoughts and prayers every day. Luv u guys!

Just a quick update on Justin and Jonah…. We adopted them just a few weeks ago and they are growing so fast. They both love their new home and are the sweetest goofballs ever! Their new names are Huckleberry Finn (Justice) and Edgar Allan Poe (Jonah). We call them Huck and Poe. Both are very smart, great with little kids, and are learning new commands daily. Thankfully they wear each other out playing in their new yard and start swimming lessons this weekend. Our family already loves them dearly.
A big “THANKS” to you and your volunteers for helping to bring them into our lives and taking care of doggies in need!!!
Sincerly,
Diane Perkins and Family

Hi Mickie, Just to let you know we are so thrilled with our GiGi. SShe has been fora long walk with us. Eaten and drinking wonderfully. (I think the cut up veal and roast beef helped). She goes right to her bed in our living room like she’s been there forever. She is great with our cats. She doesn’t even want to sniff the . I just gave her a sponge bath cause I know you can’t get those stitches and surgery wet. She was super. She comes when we call her and seems to stay when we say stay. A dream dog! You must feel so special making so many people and dogs happy. Thank you so very much. God bless you. Marie and Ted

We adopted Josie in November from one of your partner rescues in New Jersey, Love to Live. I know you guys see a lot of dogs come through your shelter, but she was with you a long time. Her earliest papers say she was 10 months old and she was 2 1/2 when we got her, so almost 2 years with you. I have been meaning to contact you to tell you that she’s very happy and loved in her new home and ask you if you know anything about her history and how such an adorable little girl could have not been adopted in such a long time in the shelter.
When we met Josie for the first time, she was such a happy little girl and loved to give kisses. We were looking for a dog that would get along with my boyfriend’s alpha personality dog, Maddox, but also a little girl to put him in his place. After we met her, we brought Maddox to meet her. They seemed to get along fine, and we loved her, so we signed the papers and brought her home. As soon as we let them loose in the back yard together, they just ran and played together until they tired each other out. Maddox has about 20 pounds on her, but she can still wrestle him to the ground and pin him and she can outrun him any day. They are perfect playmates and best friends. She is the most adorable little girl and so well behaved. Thankfully she was already housebroken when we brought her home and could be trusted to be loose in the house without destroying anything. She is so smart and very quickly picked up on the rules of the house. She is so loving and wants nothing more than to get a hug and kiss from you or cuddle up on the couch with us. I attached a few pictures of her. We celebrated her third birthday on Sunday and she tolerated a birthday hat long enough for me to take a picture. She knows how to look cute and she gives you what we call “Josie eyes” that just melt your heart.
I don’t know how such a perfect dog could have waited so long to find a forever home, but I’m glad she did. We are so happy to have found such a good girl. If you remember that little face and anything about her, please let me know. All of these dogs have a story and it’s always a mystery what their past was. Maddox is also a rescue from the south and was also adopted in NJ, but that’s all we know about him. I know you guys are very devoted to finding these dogs a good home, so I’m sure it’s good to hear about their happy endings. I appreciate your time if you can remember anything about her.
Thank you,
Heather
