I wanted to give you guys a 6 month update on Duke, formerly Bogie.I just wanted to give you an update that Boomer is doing really well….. In fact, you would think he has always lived here by the way he is acting. The big plus is that he loves my kids, and they love him. My other two rescues are learning to love him… Ha ha. They are still sorting out what to think of this guy with all the energy who came in acting like he owns the place! But all in all, smooth transition with the dogs. He is also doing really well with his potty training. He’s had a few accidents, but at a minimum. He LOVES his new dog bed that we have beside our bed and has to be coaxed to get out of it. We took him to the groomer on Sunday at PetSmart where they gave him a milk bath treatment which seems to have helped with the itching. I’ll be taking him to our vet for his well visit and appointment to get established next week.
He is right at home, we love him!

Thanks for helping us bring another dog into our home, she is loving the back yard and getting to know her new big brother Auggie (also a rescue).
Igloo now Maverick is loving life. He has been a great addition to the family. Training is going very well and he gets along with the neighbors dogs.
This is Alexa – we adopted Tillie (formerly Trudy) just over two years ago, and I wanted to send you an update along with some photos of her! She is the SWEETEST dog we have ever owned. You were so right when you said she will do well anywhere… she is so thankful to be in our home and just wants to love and be loved.

I just wanted to share some information about Duke & Daisy (Bart & Lisa). These two characters were the exact puzzle pieces our family was missing. Although we have only had them for 2 weeks, we couldn’t imagine life without them. They fill our hearts with so much love and joy.
After the first week, Daisy became pretty sick with severe diarrhea and bleeding. We took her to the vet immediately. Both Duke and Daisy were thoroughly examined with many tests. They were found to be in top notch condition. She was just having some tummy issues due to the change in food and environment. Having said all that, I want to give great KUDOS your shelter for providing EXCELLENT care for these animals. The love you have for them shines through in the care they all receive.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to fill our hearts with such wonderful creatures. These 2 really are pure perfection.

Good Morning,
My boyfriend and I adopted “Bogie” a cream lab mix on Saturday after seeing him at Petsmart in Pooler.
Huge thank you to everyone who helped him choose us as his “Furever” home!
His new name is Duke. He has been with us 3 days now and is doing great so far. He is getting used to crate training at night and loves his teething bone and doggie pacifier that one of your wonderful volunteers helped us find! When he is allowed to have some “inside” time, he loves his dog bed and sleeping next to his new dad! We keep him on his leash inside to get him used to the rooms without getting into puppy trouble, but we have a feeling by this weekend he will have free roam. He has a vet checkup on Wednesday to meet his new Dr.
