Curly (Lola)

Curly was one of our puppy mill rescues and was scared to death!

curlyjoy,

it’s been over a year since we got lola (aka “curly”) from you.  it’s taken me that long to learn how to take/send pix via email.  wanted you to see a pix of her, though.  she’s such a baby and charlyce keeps her be-ribboned and pampered.  if you’re ever in the I-75/Jefferson/Gainesville/Athens area, let  us know and we’ll meet you so you can see her.  🙂

Percy

percyJoy,

Hello!  Just a “letter from home” from Percy here!  He’s doing well.  Every day he grows stronger, and continues to walk better.  We had him for his second vet’s appointment today, and he continues to improve.  His stools (if I can mention them!) are now more solid, and his itching has been minimized.  We obtained for him a nice “puppy cut” at the groomer, and as you will see, it suits him very well.  We also had him microchipped at the vet today, for maximum safety and protection.  He’s really a sweet fellow.   If you are ever back in Winter Park, please let us know!  Although the attached photos were quickly snapped at the kitchen table with only my Macbook, I hope you enjoy them.

Best,

Brent Kubasta

Ronin

roninHello ,

I was able to adopt a dog from your organization about three years ago.

I just wanted to send an update to let you know, Ronin and I are doing
great!
He is a happy and healthy boy.  We spend lots of time taking walks or
runs and
he is very sweet and loving.

I was also wondering about the rest of his litter.  There were 4 other
siblings.
I would love to get an update, if possible.

Thank you,

Jason

Baja (Fizzgig)

DogsHi!  I adopted Baja (now named Fizzgig) from you a few years ago and wanted to let you know that he is the happiest dog I’ve ever known.  He gets along great with his “big sister”, an Irish setter.  All he wants to do is play and play until he can’t run anymore!

It’s long overdue, but thank you so much for your part in bringing us together!  You’re a fantastic organization.

Bridgette

bridgetteHi Mrs. Bohannon!

I wanted to send you all pictures of “Slick”–Maine Coon(my daughter was in her “Who-ville” costume for her dance recital)–and “Bridgette”–White German Shepherd (with my son Ryan)–and let you know they’re doing wonderful!

Thank you all for all you’ve done to help us with adopting such amazing pets!

Mandy

Joy,

I thought this was a great day to write and tell you how Mandy is doing:)

She is a real member of the family now.  I take her to doggie daycare twice a week for 4 hrs each day, because she just loves playing with dogs.  They tell me she much prefers to play with the “big” dogs!!

We re-finished our garage space so that Mandy has a real “playroom” when we are at work .  She loves toys and bones, and long walks.  She gets along famously with neighborhood dogs and my son’s very large dogs:)

She still gets car sick, but we only take her to places in the neighborhood.  We found a local groomer who does not crate the animals, so Mandy can play there also.  I bought a carrier for her in the car, and she does much better in that.

She is eating well now, altho food is not her priority…toys and other animals are her priorities.

I want to thank you for letting us have Mandy.  She is bringing such joy to our home.

Elaine

G with DadG with MomThank you to all of your wonderful staff for doing what you do.  On
behalf of our family, we have made a $50 donation to you via PAYPAL,
as a thank you for sending us our wonderful four legged friend almost
three years ago.

Elaine, a golden retriever adopted in August 2009, entered our lives
with your help and now we could not imagine our family otherwise.  She
has outgrown many of her fears, and has learned to love the cold
Canadian winters very much.  She is in good health, and thriving,
enjoying her walks and has even picked up a few tricks.

Thanks for everything.  We love our dog.
